Blueberry picking

I love the playgroup that I'm a member with because our organizer do make sure we do a lot of fun stuff and keep us updated on what is going on around our area that we can enjoy along with our kids and sometimes we do things without our kids.

Today we went berry picking at Berries Unlimited in Prairie Grove, AR.  And I invited our friend Jiji and her daughter Bianca, we picked a lot Blueberries and Raspberries.  And to our surprise a local tv station 5News or KNWA come and take a video of everyone and air it later that evening.  Here's a link to the video.

Quentin's 1st swim lesson at Swim Ranch

This is Quentin's first year of swimming lesson through Swim Ranch located in Fayetteville, AR from June 17-21 at 10:00am.  I joined him in the water because he is in the class called water babies for children 6 months to 4 years old.  While I'm in the water with Quentin, I keep Beatrice busy by letting her play with her Kindle Fire, so meaning I don't have a lot of pictures of Quentin and I in the water.  And he has the same teacher when Beatrice started as a water baby and it was Ms. Susan Gabbard, with all the things that the teacher teach him he likes doing the 1-2-3 Splash, Shallow Jump and of course the Cookie Jar after every class and of course Beatrice got some cookie as well.  There are times he doesn't want to cooperate with me but loved it when Ms. Susan takes him or Jace the assistant of Ms. Susan.

9 years wedding Anniversary and Father's Day

On our 9th year wedding anniversary I came home from work training that morning around 4am and woke up around 8am, pick up some breakfast at Sonic then we went to Sta-N-Step Blueberry Farm to pick blueberries and raspberries(there's not a whole lot when we get there).  Had lunch at Hawaiian Brian which the food tastes like Filipino food.

Picking some raspberries which we didn't get that much.

We picked 2 gallons of blueberries.

And on Sunday which was Father's Day we head to Stilwell, OK after church to meet Matt's parents and see his grandmother that is living in a nursing home facility.  Early that morning Matt with the help of Beatrice made a blueberry pie for his dad and we used the blueberries we picked.  After visiting with his grandma we visited a lot of graveside with his parents and we took pictures of the tombstone for Matt's ancestry that he is working on.  And the kids run and walk around even if it was scorching hot.

Fun time with church kids

We love Springdale Public Library especially Ms. Erin who is the one who lead the storytime, and both of my kids loves her.  During her storytime she always play this song titled Throw the Bean Bag and both of my kids loves to dance along and afterwards she always have a craft for kids to work on which Beatrice loves to do by herself and she may asks me to cut something nicely.  She love working with the scissors and glue. When she's done she will show it to Ms. Erin and Ms. Erin will do the rhyme to her since there's a rhyme that comes with the craft.

During Wal-Mart Shareholders week there are tons of activities going on and one of them are vendors setup in Wal-Mart parking lot in Martin Luther King Blvd which I take advantage since there are tons of freebies one of my weakness :-)

When we got there Beatrice was so giddy because she saw SpongeBob Squarepants which at that time she is crazy about him and loves to watch that show when I bring them to the gym, so we make sure she got a pictures with him and also we spotted Tony the Tiger.

Libraries Summer Reading Program

We are fortunate that we live in a town that offers a lot of free activities for kids, one of them that we frequently visits are the library both  Fayetteville Public Library(south of us) and Springdale Public Library (north of us) for storytime for my kids.  And during summer they have a good summer reading program this summer the FPL summer reading program theme is "Dig Beneath The Surface" while SPL summer reading program theme is "Dig Into Reading" and they have all sorts of activities and program for all ages.  They have book reading program which you get a chance to win some cool prizes and also they have different activities or performers weekly.

On June 4th, 2013 we get to watch Leonardo perform in FPL.

On June 5th, 2013 we got to watch a duo from New York called The Pop Ups from FPL. The Pop Ups have received a GRAMMY nomination for their second family music CD, Radio Jungle. Not your typical band; The Pop Ups perform their music using cardboard props, hand-painted sets, and a colorful cast of original puppets; crafting a world of magic that engages, educates and delights all ages.

The kids got a photo op with them since we bought a CD and a shirts.

While at SPL we got to watch the Institute of Jugglology.
