I wish: I can visit Davao next year since my brother is going to take a vacation on that year too, because if I'm not going to make it then it would be another 2 or 3 years that he can take a vacation and for us to see each other.
I hate: when those people who act like they are really concern about you but they are just there to listen so they have something to gossip about.
I miss: my niece and nephews who are in Davao.
I fear: that the people I love would gone astray and I can't help them.
I hear: the tapping the football on the background.
I smell: crabs and shrimps cause that's what I have for dinner..
I crave: good filipino food or something spicy.
I search: a lot of stuff in google.
I wonder: if i will ever have kids and if I would be a good mother???

I am not: a crafty person
I believe: all things happen for a reason.
I dance: or I mean sway when I sing.
I sing: a lot in the office.
I cry: a lot when I watch heart wrenching movies or shows.
I fight: or stood up on what I believe is right.
I win: when I accept that I'm at fault and apologize about it.
I lose: my patience with stupid people.
I never: forget where I came from cause that's what made me who I am today.
I always: take shower as in washing my hair cause I knew a lot of people who just took a shower without wetting there hair.
I confuse: myself after speaking my native tongue and turn around talk to an english speaking people.
I listen: musics at my work's pc and sing with it.
I can usually be found: at home, infront of the computer.
I am scared: of the dark and being alone.

Washington County Fair

Last August 22, our County hold there annual Fair Festival, Whitney invited me if I want to work with her in the fair and with my hubby's permission I said Yes to the said event but it didn't push through because the person who talk to her told her that there are a lot of people already signed up *sigh* I feel bad because Whit would love to have an extra income and who doesn't huh?!?.

So, I called my hubby as soon as I learn that I'm not working to the fair and told him that it would be a neat idea that we can just go ahead celebrate our 4th year church wedding anniversary (because we have our civil wedding anniversary too) at the fair and take a lot of picture and just chillax.

And indeed, we had fun and he got to have a funnel cake of course and got to ride the ferriswheel, just like an old school and still enjoying it.

To my readers have you been to any fair lately?

A Patch of Blue

My hubby had tons of lists of movies that he loves to watch even those movies that were before his time and I'm telling you some of it are still in black and white. And at first I thought black and white??? hmp, that's really and old movie and never care to watch those kind of film knowing I'm not even a movie buff and I always have a prejudices about old movies because there technology back then are not as good as the one that I'm used to but heck why not try to watch one and see for myself. But there are black and white films that I would say that I love to watch and had more morale on the scriptwriting.

Just the other day my hubby introduced me to a movie titled "A Patch of Blue", it's a story about a blind girl Selina who lives with her drunkard ole pa and her mother who is a prostitute who was the reason that she got blinded when she was just 5.

She lead a monotonous life from doing the household chores to beadworks for Mr. Faber to bring some extra income and every now and then Mr. Faber would walk her to the park, later she asked her ole Pa if he can drop her off to the park and pick her on his way back home though at first he was hesitant because he will be home late but she insist that she's been living in the dark already so it wouldn't do much anything to her.

And one sunny afternoon in the park, there’s one black guy name Gordon who befriended to her and later teaches her more to what she was just doing such as how to maneuver around the park, use the phone, Braille and from walking to the park to her apartment and which made a big of a mess cause her mother saw it and she already told her not to make friends with any black people and she got into big trouble that her mom wants to move out on that place with another friend and with that Selina could even bring some extra dough. But she doesn’t like the idea and she run off to Gordon’s for help and indeed he call some school for the blind for her to stay there and learn more than what she is learning though she is already fallen for him but Gordon didn’t take advantage on the situation but rather wanted her to learn more than what he could teach her and whatever happens after a year and see if they still have the same feelings for each other.

I just love this film because Gordon was just a nobleman, on which she is willing to help the naïve Selina on how to face reality and that he still continue to take care of her even after Selina told him that she was raped at one point of her life and never take any advantage on her and that deepens the feeling of Selina towards him.

This is one of many quotes in the movie that touches me.

Selina D'Arcy: I know everything I need to know about you. I love you. [touching Gordon's face]
Selina D'Arcy: I know you're good, and kind. I know you're colored and I...
Gordon Ralfe: What's that?
Selina D'Arcy: ...And I think you're beautiful!
Gordon Ralfe: [smiling] Beautiful? Most people would say the opposite.
Selina D'Arcy: Well that's because they don't know you.

And I would say that this movie really tells a whole lot of how bad the racism back then and how people judge the person by its color though it still happen in this time of age we are in, but still Gordon prove to Selina that love breaks all barriers it may be through physical attribute or through the skin color and indeed they build a bridge for love to flourish between them.

Road trip to Minnesota

'Twas fun to be on a road trip and see different sites on the way to the specific destination. I had the privileged to have a road trip this year with my friend's family (Sasha, Russ and Zach) heading to Minneapolis, Minnesota. We left Arkansas around 8am last 7th of August and it was even pouring heavily on us that we had hard time seeing the road. The first stop Kansas City, Missouri to grab some lunch at Fritz it was a nifty place you have to order through a phone on your booth and the server will serve the drinks and your food will be served on a train they have the train track overhead and it drop the container where the food was place and it lower and voila our lunch was served we had fun and the kids had a blast. After that we head to Papillion, Nebraska where we are going to stay the night and it was free because one of the family that convoy with us it was his brothers place and we had great time visiting with them and especially the kids and that night we had 6 kids ranging from 2 years old to 13 years old I would guess. And the bad part of having kids on a road trip and especially if they don't feel good you really need to pack a lot of patient as in tons cause my friend at one point is ready give her son away but oh well that's just how kids temperament would be.

Friday, at 11am we head out for Minnesota and it's another 6 hours drive or more. Travelling with other family around and just by myself being in that group I had so much fun cause I can do whatever I wanna do or wherever I wanna go without thinking of a kid who will tug along with and to consider if they will have fun or not but of course I would love if my husband was with me but he opted not to go which I respected. And the good thing is I have 2 friends who are wanting to see and visit with me, one who lives in Wisconsin which is 2 hours away and who is driving down to meet me and one who lives 30 minutes away just outside St. Paul, Minnesota and is going to meet me as well. And on Friday night we had to pick James who flew in from New Orleans and that night James was hungry and silly me I told him we can look for some food outside the hotel and see if there's any place that is open and that is close by so we walk 1/2 mile from our hotel and there's nothing in sight that we could find and we end up running around the Mall of America which by then is close to our hotel and decided to board the train and head to downtown Minneapolis and as usual most of the places are closing or closed for the night, so we just hailed a taxi and head back to the hotel still hungry poor James. And that was also my first time to see that the downtown was jump-packed because that's where there night life is and I'm telling you police are just everywhere there's some in the usual police car, some in segway and even in horses too.

Saturday, we head to Mall of America for some fun and shopping. We went first to Underwater Aquarium and it was nifty and I was able to pet Stingrays and Sharks it was scary and fun at the same time. Then we head to Nickelodeon and the kids had fun riding the rides and went to see Lego land. Before lunch time my friends Rick and Joy Schneider who came all the way from Spooner, WI were already waiting for me and ready to go to IKEA to have some lunch and shop as well and I was able to introduce to my friends who I went with on that trip and then the 3 of us head to IKEA to grab some lunch and shop some and that place was just wonderful if I could have the money and a trailer to put some big stuff I would really shop a lot for my house but oh well I just have to be happy to pick up some small items in the store. Then we went back to the Mall of America to shop this time, so I was able to shop some office clothes mainly which I am happy and don't forget another purse hehe which my hubby thinks I'm crazy but oh well I always have this reason that I'm a woman and I need to have a lot of purses in different colors. The bad thing is that I didn't see Joy nor Rick when they head out to have eat dinner with Rick's Mom cause Joy is in another floor of the mall and the mall is just humongous so we just bade goodbye through the phone, which we convince to ourselves that's why we didn't really say goodbye cause I know we will see each other again. And also one of my friends is waiting for me outside the store that I was stuck forever. So I had Ganggang and Joe Turner with me who was waiting patiently for me to check out. And we visit and shop again then decided to go to the hotel so I can change and then we head back to the Mall of America and had dinner at Rainforest Cafe and that was just so nice and we had fun visiting each other and the place has a unique atmosphere and before we end that night they invited me if I would love the idea of going to Duluth, Minnesota and see the Lake Superior which part of it borders Canada and without any second thought I said yes but of course I still have to ask my companion if they want to go and when we are leaving to drive back home and they are fine with my idea but they go with me cause they have to accommodate the kids needs and for the kids to have fun time.

Sunday, I'm up early and ready to be picked up. Then we head to Duluth, Minnesota and on our way my friend's hubby asked us if we would love to shop at the outlet store and without any thoughts we said YES!!! hehe. Then drove straight to Duluth and when we were there we ate at Grandma's Saloon which is the oldest place in that town and the food was good and after lunch we went around the lake and there are tons of seagulls hovering everywhere and then we walk some and went to the lighthouse and watch a ship go through on the lift bridge and that place is famous of that. Then we head to Gooseberry Falls which had nice falls and just imagine the place is full, we hike the trail there and I just loved it cause I would say I'm on my element cause I love hiking and being out in the nature. After that we head to Split Rock Lighthouse another nature trail and you could see how vast the Lake Superior is you can't even see where it ends and I had fun playing with the water, I was like I have to do this so I can feel Canadian and American water all together hehe. And being that far up North the weather was just so nice and even we went home I can't believe that we turn on the heater cause it was so cold at night it drops like 40-50°F comparing to Arkansas’s weather we sweat at night hehe and I got back to the hotel past 11pm and pack my things so I would be ready for my trip back home and see my hubby again. I missed him so much but oh well thanks to him for letting me go and travel.

My friend woke me up early Monday morning and we got ready grab some breakfast head straight to Arkansas we just stop to refuel, bathroom, breaks and grab some food. We hit 4 States in one day counting Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri and Arkansas. And I got home past 5pm and just so excited to see my hubby and be back in his arms hmmm. And so far I never feel tired because I had fun and no husband or kid to take with.

Again, thanks to Rick and Joy Scneider for being so nice that you really drove down to Minneapolis to met with me for a short time of 6 hours (I wish we could hang out longer than that next time.) and to Joe and Jaycelle (Ganggang) Turner for accommodating and driving me around town and even going that far that it's just like an hour or two we are already in Canada.

Davis Family (Russell, Zach and Sasha) they really looked tired on this picture.
The Holmes Family looking at there food overhead (Fritz Railroad Restaurant)
with Rick and Joy Schneider inside Mall of America at the Nickelodeon Theme Park.

the bridge will lift when there's a ship that's going underneath the bridge.

the bridge will go down when it is safe to do so lighthouse in the area Joe and Jaycelle Turner taken at the Gooseberry Falls State Park taken at Split Rock Lighthouse and when you look at the opposite direction you are facing Canada.

Exhausted but still learning....

This week I’m just busy and trying to caught some stuff do around the house as well. Last Saturday, we visited one of my hubby’s old friend whom he hasn’t seen for more than 10 years but of course there’s more to that but this is not the good avenue to share it further so let’s just leave it that way. We go to Mt. Vernon, MO where they live and at the present they are building there house which they hope by Thanksgiving this year it will be over and I think it would, so we help them some though we don’t have any clue what’s going on because we don’t have any experience at all but we have fun and I knew a lot of things there and we stopped a little after 12 because it’s really hot, so we clean up and head for lunch, then do a lot of visit with each other, then tour around the area, got back to there place have some karaoke, card game called spoon (this is fun y’all), Taboo (fun game too!) and have some snacks and we called it the day and get back home a little past 10 in the evening. Then the following day we just take it easy cause we are just exhausted and tired.

Monday, I started with my driving school at Driving Academy of Northwest Arkansas and I just didn’t imagine that after we got off from school I have to work on my homework till 10pm maybe I’m slow or dumb or I would say there are just tons of homework do men I didn’t thought of that, Tuesday still attending on the class then got home and do the homework go to around class which was my favorite the Photography class which is just every Tuesday from 6:30-8:30 in the evening which would end next Tuesday and I learn more than just reading my manuals and it does help when you have an instructor to ask some questions.

Even the school is exhausting and mind draining I did learn a whole compared from just hearing and other’s people point of you and my hubby was right that he better have someone license teach me than just anybody and I swear they really have a good teaching material even I’m exhausted after school I could still say to myself that I learn a whole lot.

Today I’m just happy that I’m off from my class but not finish cause I still have to cover up for tomorrows class cause I’m heading to Nebraska then Minnesota which I really look forward to.

And so I hope everyone got to have a restful weekdays and stay inside cause it’s really not got to be outside cause it’s hot, I dunno where you are but where I am it’s darn hot….

it's me be a good helper

Busy weekdays and long weekend coming up...

Busy weekday as usual, I've been running around like chicken with the head cut off. This week I help my officemate/friend to move to her new house and I tag along with her most of the time maybe because I'm going to be gone for more than a week next week. But for some reason bad luck comes the least you expect it, first we got pull over by the cop because she's driving 5o in 40 speed zone nyay good thing she just got a warning *huff* *huff* then the following day she got a parking ticket because she is a butthead like me I told her not to park in a red line but of course I just got her "I don't think so" comment oh well sometimes you learn the hard way. Still we had a good time being around with each other.

And this weekend I'm going with my hubby to meet a long time friend that he just got reconnected lately, I hope the people who knows my situation would pray earnestly as I do hehe.

But the best part is that I'm going to have a long weekend cause I'm not coming back to the office not until next Tuesday and I'm going with my friends to Nebraska and visit a train museum up there and drive up to Minneapolis, Minnesota to go to Mall of America and I would have a chance to see two of my friends there as well, I can't wait for that day.

I hope everyone will have a good weekend and stay hydrated.
