Kids with Malunggay(horseradish tree)

I remember growing up when we are cooking tinolang manok and it calls for malunggay, we just go ask our neighbors who has a malunggay tree and then strip every tiny branches since we only use the tiny leaves for the soup.

And now that I'm here residing in the US I hardly cook this recipe and I was surprise one time when my hubby cooked tinolang manok for my birthday and came home with a fresh malunggay which most of the time the Asian store have those frozen.  Today I asked my kids to help me and they were excited and happy to help stripping the leaves off.

Quentin is the first one to offer help and he was happy.

Then Manang came and offered help and they both work together nicely.
