Beatrice the sweetest

Beatrice offered a chocolate kiss to me.  I turned it down for various reasons but without divulging it to her, for one I'm not a big fan of chocolates and I am watching my calorie intake which I ate another chocolate after I had the kisses for dessert.

My daughter is super thoughtful and jus melts my heart.

Could a pig be a good house pet? By Beatrice

Beatrice came home today with her Tyson orange folder that has her previous school work in it.  And this school work made me giggle and I thought it was super cute. And yes Quentin and Beatrice fight a lot and they love each other too they are friendnemies for life.  And yes a pig as a pet isn't a bad idea.

Firefly Fling 2016

We went to the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks since it's hosting Firefly Fling which is a family event during Summer.  Around the garden they have booths that everyone can partake while there's a live music playing in the center stage.

The plan was I'll just take Beatrice with me and leave Hazel and Quentin with Matt since I already took both kids to Jurassic Quest that morning and I thought I would spend some time just with Beatrice but Quentin talked his way out and she said it would be fine because at least by then he won't be able to watch Super Friends by himself at home.  I thought she was being kind instead she also have an ulterior motive of letting Quentin come along with us which we all both had fun, we hang around with the Brown family which we love.

One of the station a water bead and the kids loved it.
They can play here forever.

Beatrice loves holding Hazel

Ever since we have Hazel, Beatrice can't contain her happiness and always loves to hold her little sister and always ready to help us.

Beatrice would come to our room as soon as she gets up to check on Hazel sometimes she is running late going to the bus stop because she is just so engrossed with Hazel.   As soon as she gets home from school she would check on Hazel immediately and if Hazel is quiet or crying she wants to know if there's something wrong with her or if she's doing fine.

Beatrice loves her little sister so much that she is always there for her no matter what, and I'm praying that they will create a unique bond when they grow up and be there for each other.

Digging Dinosaur bones

Quentin got a Dino Dig kit from his Aunt Sarah, Uncle Joe and the girls.

During memorial day we stayed home since it was raining outside. Beatrice decided she wants to dig it and Quentin was happy to have her sister started it and in between they do different stuff and later that day I joined them and decided we will do it at the front porch and I helped them finish it up and put the bones together.

Beatrice last day of 1st grade

Beatrice had another wonderful year at John Tyson Elementary under Mrs. Emerson.  And I got the opportunity to help her teacher with the folder putting the children's work and announcement in it, as well as escorting them to a field trip.
By the 1st of October she's done with her 1,000 sight words.
Tuesday and Wednesday are her two favorite school days because she love the after school program(1st scrapbooking & 2nd is gardening) and her art class.
She's been in 2 after school club: scrapbooking and gardening which she both loved.
Her art teacher chose one of her artwork as an entry in PTA Reflection contest.
Beatrice's Math improves throughout the school year as well as her Reading level which she can read at AR level 5 while 2.8 is reflected on her report card because after that they need to learn to write about the book.
Been to a lot of field trips and I got the opportunity to join them except for the last 2 field trips since I'm close to my delivery and then the last one I just had a newborn.  She's been to Amazeum, watch a play at Walton Arts Center, went to the Rodeo at the Ozark and visited Springdale Public Library.
Also she got to experience riding the school bus for a month because I'm having a newborn 2 weeks before the school ends.

The Value of Sharing

This is the last night that Beatrice and Quentin will have their daddy to themselves because tomorrow there will be a new addition to the family and everyone is excited to meet her.

And what a coincidence that they are listening to a story titled the value of sharing from The Valuetales series.

Beatrice celebrates 7 years

We celebrated Beatrice's 7th birthday yesterday the 7th of May because I will have a week old newborn when her birthday rolls around.  And also I'm not in the mood to do big parties because I hardly have energy to put things together.  Since her lola urges us to celebrate it, we celebrated it at the Lokomotion and invited 2 of her friends from her school Serrilyn and Melanie and only the latter showed up and they still both had a blast playing mini golf.

Quentin here playing Deal or No Deal while daddy watched.

Beatrice is such a great hostess cutting the cake by herself.
