Beatrice came home today with her Tyson orange folder that has her previous school work in it. And this school work made me giggle and I thought it was super cute. And yes Quentin and Beatrice fight a lot and they love each other too they are friendnemies for life. And yes a pig as a pet isn't a bad idea.

Beatrice last day of 1st grade
Beatrice had another wonderful year at John Tyson Elementary under Mrs. Emerson. And I got the opportunity to help her teacher with the folder putting the children's work and announcement in it, as well as escorting them to a field trip.
By the 1st of October she's done with her 1,000 sight words.
Tuesday and Wednesday are her two favorite school days because she love the after school program(1st scrapbooking & 2nd is gardening) and her art class.
She's been in 2 after school club: scrapbooking and gardening which she both loved.
Her art teacher chose one of her artwork as an entry in PTA Reflection contest.
Beatrice's Math improves throughout the school year as well as her Reading level which she can read at AR level 5 while 2.8 is reflected on her report card because after that they need to learn to write about the book.
Been to a lot of field trips and I got the opportunity to join them except for the last 2 field trips since I'm close to my delivery and then the last one I just had a newborn. She's been to Amazeum, watch a play at Walton Arts Center, went to the Rodeo at the Ozark and visited Springdale Public Library.
Also she got to experience riding the school bus for a month because I'm having a newborn 2 weeks before the school ends.

Beatrice joined 1,000 sight words Club
Beatrice was the first one to join the 1,000 sight words club by finishing her sight words and passing it during testing with Mrs. Emerson by the 1st of October.
And now we just have to concentrate on reading her reading group book, AR book and spelling.

First day of 1st grade
Quentin and I dropped Beatrice for her 1st day of school since she requested it. The previous night our church let our school kids make some cupcake to give to their teacher and Quentin wants to carry it and give it himself to Mrs. Emerson. And as soon as she enter her room the teacher has a book for each kid to read.

Beatrice's first day and graduation day from Kindergarten
I'm writing this a year later...
I dreaded this day to happen but at the same time excited for Beatrice's school life. She starts her formal school(she has her preschool years at the age of 3 at NWA preschool coop where we moms are the teacher) as a Kindergartner at John Tyson Elementary in Springdale where we live. And I remember vividly when she was 3 years old and trying to teach her some basic school stuff and when she asked why we are doing it, my immediate reply was because when you turn 5 you will be in Kindergarten and she would throw a fit and declared that she doesn't want to go to Kindergarten and it etched in my heart and worried how she would do when reality is at hand, especially she has her daddy's personality a loner and some kind of a hermit.
But when school start she face it head on and tried her best and did really good at school. At one point she was selected to be an Ambassador from her class shortly when the school just started. She was the first one who completed reading the first 100 sight words in her class and the only one who got awarded with blue ribbon at the end of the school year for reading the most sight words. She made friends and enjoyed school a lot more than I imagine it would be and she does love her yellow reading group under Mrs. Boogaart.
August 14, 2014 they have their open house and she got to try her desk.

Watching her from afar.
The first thing Quentin do when we got home after we drop Manang off at school, he went straight to have a tea party since he's always prohibited to play the tea set as he broke the first tea set.
Walking out and heading to the waiting car
First day pick up she was escorted by Mrs. Boogaart
The long awaited reunion after a long day at school
First week of pick up and this was the Friday and she was escorted by Mrs. Frankum
And May 14, 2015 came way too fast it seems like and now my Kindergartner graduated. Here with Mrs. Frankum and JTE Principal Dr. Sherwood
