I'm writing this a year later...
I dreaded this day to happen but at the same time excited for Beatrice's school life. She starts her formal school(she has her preschool years at the age of 3 at NWA preschool coop where we moms are the teacher) as a Kindergartner at John Tyson Elementary in Springdale where we live. And I remember vividly when she was 3 years old and trying to teach her some basic school stuff and when she asked why we are doing it, my immediate reply was because when you turn 5 you will be in Kindergarten and she would throw a fit and declared that she doesn't want to go to Kindergarten and it etched in my heart and worried how she would do when reality is at hand, especially she has her daddy's personality a loner and some kind of a hermit.
But when school start she face it head on and tried her best and did really good at school. At one point she was selected to be an Ambassador from her class shortly when the school just started. She was the first one who completed reading the first 100 sight words in her class and the only one who got awarded with blue ribbon at the end of the school year for reading the most sight words. She made friends and enjoyed school a lot more than I imagine it would be and she does love her yellow reading group under Mrs. Boogaart.
August 14, 2014 they have their open house and she got to try her desk.

Watching her from afar.
The first thing Quentin do when we got home after we drop Manang off at school, he went straight to have a tea party since he's always prohibited to play the tea set as he broke the first tea set.
Walking out and heading to the waiting car
First day pick up she was escorted by Mrs. Boogaart
The long awaited reunion after a long day at school
First week of pick up and this was the Friday and she was escorted by Mrs. Frankum
And May 14, 2015 came way too fast it seems like and now my Kindergartner graduated. Here with Mrs. Frankum and JTE Principal Dr. Sherwood
