Soldier Boy

I was trying different shutter speed and aperture setting on this model. And so far I'm pretty much happy with the output.
But I think the blog won't really show the good output of the pictures compared to looking directly to the pictures from the computer but you can zoom in to the picture to tell the difference.
Well, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did it.

Lost Valley Trail Falls

We went to Lost Valley Trail in Ponca, AR to hike with my in-laws and my hubby and we enjoyed it though it was dry than compared to the first time me and my hubby hiked it.

Hiking in Devil's Den State Park

Tuesday and it was raining outside *sigh* I would love to bundle and cuddle up with hubby but we are dead serious of hiking and camping out so we get ourselves together and get ready and head out of town. We went to Devil’s Den State Park and planned to hike Butterfield Hiking Trail which is 14-15 miles hike and of course I am up to the challenger and off we go.

When we are in the park premises and did everything from checking in and getting our backpack we got our first challenge we were lost because we can’t find the trailhead duh so we go round and round to look for it and at last we managed to find it after many inquiries with the people in the park which most of them doesn’t have a clue either duh. So we hike and hike then we got into another trouble again we had to cross a creek which is swift and of course we would love to take the challenge but we opted not too cause it would be more dangerous especially one of my co-workers bro-in-law die just 3 weeks ago because we was swept off and while we are discussing if we are to cross or not it was thundering and I think it is going to have a heavy downpour so we opted not and just plan to head straight and look for a place to pitch the tent and by the time we are putting out our tent it heavily rained on us duh and by the time the tent is done we are all soaking wet. My hubby was so restless that he had to ask me if I am okay to stay the night in the woods and I said I am up to it cause I would love to experience it and I feel sorry for him but I think we both agree it would be more safer that we stay in the tent than hike out and it would be dark soon.

When a slight ray of light beamed in our tent my hubby was relieved that we can go out and hike back to our car and drive back home cause I knew he didn’t have a good sleep knowing that there are tons of noise around us but with me I had a good night rest. But the experience were worthwhile and hoping we can really hike the entire miles but during the dry season.

Branson weekend getaway

With my new job they required us to take 9 days off from work including the 2 weekends for them to audit the employees. When I was trying to think when and what am I going to do with those days I consulted my hubby and see if he could get off work the same day with me so we can do things together. And he told me that he would rather take it early spring while the weather is nice so we pick the dates of 21st -25th of April.

And to kick off the vacation my Filipino friends invited me to go with them to Branson, MO on the weekend and of course I didn’t hesitate to say yes why not it would be more fun cause they are the same people I hang out most of the time and we did it last year as well though my hubby won’t go with me but still allows me to hang out with them which is more better cause I don’t have someone to worry.
When we were in Branson we went to a Zoo and Aquarium place see some sharks, sting ray, lion, tigers, black bear, hyena and more, then we head to Stone Hill Winery and have some wine tasting but of course the non-drinker in me I just have their Sparkling wine and Concord juices which is good and I have to buy some too to take home with me, then we went to eat out for dinner and it was a nifty place cause they throw their hot dinner rolls at you when want some, then went to Outlet mall and do a little shopping cause it was late already then buy some groceries for breakfast. Then we wrap up the night by having a pit fire and have some smores, hot links and wine to wash it out.

The following day which is Sunday we had a good breakfast then head back to the Outlet mall and shop till we drop hehe and before heading home we make a side trip at Eureka Springs, AR to just stroll and look some arts.

Filipino Camarederie

Being around with a lot of Filipinos means a lot of gathering and more food to chow down.

As far as my memory goes I attended Zachary’s 2nd Birthday that was held in Jones Center for Family and there are tons of food and I have a good time with my friends minus my hubby cause he doesn’t like a whole lot of Filipino foods and have hard time being around them cause he can't understand any of our languages. Then after that we head to one of the Filipino couple who watch boxing a whole lot and invited some Filipinos over to have a good time and I am one of them.

Then I also went to a christening of Luis whose parents I met in the previous place we lived and it was held at the clubhouse and of course I saw the same faces most of the time and I enjoyed it as well and after that we head to the mall for some shopping.

Luis Christening and it was held in Appleby's Apartment where we used to lived and now it is the place where all the Filipino nurses I knew still live.
