Hazel at 2 months

WOW!  How time flies and now you are 2 months old.  You've been out and about more than your Manang and Manoy at this age.  I remember vividly that Beatrice wasn't out and about in the public until she got her 2 months old shots while Quentin are kind of the same but we ease out a bit but with you, you are everywhere where you're 2 big siblings from lake, parks, library and mom's exercise class for the first time and same goes with mom she just went back today after giving birth.

You started cooing at around 7 weeks especially when both Manang and Manoy are talking to you, also you're showing big smiles and most of all you like being talked to.

2 months after the baby

Been contemplating if I can make it to the exercise class or just wait for a year or so just like when I have Quentin because there are a lot to consider like how to pacify Hazel when she's not happy, can we make it in time knowing I have 3 kids to take with me, it seems the time was in my favor and got out in time to attend the class and I'm antsy to go back and so I did.

It went smooth as I expected, yes Hazel did fuss and I have to hold her but I have a lot of help from Hazel's friend and they did really take care of her and attend to her needs.  We are blessed with our friends.

These are the kids the my children hang out while we are at the gym.  From L-R Hazel, Malachi, Quentin, Beatrice, Norah, Isabella and Olivia

Lake time with friends

We head to Hickory Creek Park with our favorite friends: Jessie, Amy, Sara and the kids. The day started gloomy with a nice breeze and the water is warm, then a thunderstorm came and we took shelter in the pavilion and waited about 30 minutes or so for the thunderstorm and lighting to stop, then when it stopped and safe to go back to the water then everyone went back. Sara and Jessie's with their kids went home ahead of us but we stayed a little longer with the Brown family.

Hazel and I stayed along the beach to watch everyone having fun while she slept the entire time we were there, she just woke up to nurse and then she went back to sleep.

It was Hazel's first time in the lake.
She loves the water.

It take a village to raise a child, they are my village right here.

It looks as if Corbin is shooting Beatrice with his water gun.
Then Beatrice went under the water and Corbin is checking on her.
Digging...

These kids like running from the shore to the deep part of the water.
Amy playing sharks and minnow with the kids.
The 3 musketeers and a photobomber.

They are ready to run to the water hand in hand.

And there they go.
Quentin loves to play with Malachi.

Watched Opera in the Ozarks performs Pinocchio

Springdale Public Library had a special even during Thursdays in summer and today we went and watched Opera in the Ozarks performs Pinocchio.

We have a big group today with Ms. Amy's kids Olivia, Malachi, Norah and her niece Aisling and she brought along the kids she watched Isabella, Grayson and Ashton whom Quentin loves to play with and knew each other from preschool days, the kids had fun and it was a great show.

Beatrice loves to hold Hazel.  Hazel lasted for at least 20 minutes in the show then we have to move around to make her happy.

Kids with Malunggay(horseradish tree)

I remember growing up when we are cooking tinolang manok and it calls for malunggay, we just go ask our neighbors who has a malunggay tree and then strip every tiny branches since we only use the tiny leaves for the soup.

And now that I'm here residing in the US I hardly cook this recipe and I was surprise one time when my hubby cooked tinolang manok for my birthday and came home with a fresh malunggay which most of the time the Asian store have those frozen.  Today I asked my kids to help me and they were excited and happy to help stripping the leaves off.

Quentin is the first one to offer help and he was happy.

Then Manang came and offered help and they both work together nicely.

Trying toddler time again

Today I tried taking Hazel for the 2nd time to the toddler story time at Springdale public library and it's the same thing she just stayed half of it because she is just ready to nurse.

Kids helping fixed dinner

Matt was fixing dinner last night and Beatrice insisted to help him and one tasked Matt introduced Beatrice to was slicing an olive with a knife and teaching the proper way to use it, she really enjoyed it and felt like a big girl.

Of course Quentin doesn't want to be left behind so he offered to help by picking the olives from the jar and all 3 of them assembled the dinner together while I'm busy nursing Hazel.
