Beatrice's first day and graduation day from Kindergarten

I'm writing this a year later...

I dreaded this day to happen but at the same time excited for Beatrice's school life.  She starts her formal school(she has her preschool years at the age of 3 at NWA preschool coop where we moms are the teacher) as a Kindergartner at John Tyson Elementary in Springdale where we live.  And I remember vividly when she was 3 years old and trying to teach her some basic school stuff and when she asked why we are doing it, my immediate reply was because when you turn 5 you will be in Kindergarten and she would throw a fit  and declared that she doesn't want to go to Kindergarten and it etched in my heart and worried how she would do when reality is at hand, especially she has her daddy's personality a loner and some kind of a hermit.

But when school start she face it head on and tried her best and did really good at school.  At one point she was selected to be an Ambassador from her class shortly when the school just started. She was the first one who completed reading the first 100 sight words in her class and the only one who got awarded with blue ribbon at the end of the school year for reading the most sight words.  She made friends and enjoyed school a lot more than I imagine it would be and  she does love her yellow reading group under Mrs. Boogaart.

August 14, 2014 they have their open house and she got to try her desk.

August 14, 2014 she got to meet her Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Frankum for the first time.

The first thing Quentin do when we got home after we drop Manang off at school, he went straight to have a tea party since he's always prohibited to play the tea set as he broke the first tea set.

First day pick up she was escorted by Mrs. Boogaart

The long awaited reunion after a long day at school

First week of pick up and this was the Friday and she was escorted by Mrs. Frankum

And May 14, 2015 came way too fast it seems like and now my Kindergartner graduated.  Here with Mrs. Frankum and JTE Principal Dr. Sherwood

2 years of hiatius from blogging

I didn't realize that this blog is still in existence after 2 years of not visiting or putting some entry on it.  I've been reading some blog and that's what urges me to revisit this blog of mine.  Maybe this time I could fill the gap with the help of facebook and hopefully keep this blog updated as much as my little brain can muster.

Both kids get to go to Silver Dollar City for the 1st time

I was down in the dumps for a while and thought a change of scenery might help and some friends, so I start throwing ideas to my friends Agnes, Judy and Jiji to go to Tulsa just mom and our kids and Judy suggested why not go to Silver Dollar City and since I haven't been back there in ages and my kids haven't been there either so it was a great idea and so we decided to go their for an overnight on a Thursday night the 23rd of July

First stop eat at Outback Steak & Oyster Bar

A trip is not complete without a picture taken before heading inside the amusement park

Since both kids aren't tall enough I have to ride with them, this one with Beatrice.

Eat Mor Chikin

July 14, 2015 - We went to Cow Appreciation Day at chick-fil-a in a cow costume, at first I was hesitant because I know both of my kids don't want anything tape on them but when I said they will get free lunch they are fine with it good thing it's just taped on their ears.  And also we are supposed to meet some friends but we went to another location but still the kids had fun.

Beatrice got to drive a go-kart for the 1st time by herself.

Beatrice is really getting braver over the summer, we went to Fast Lane in Rogers and did try some bowling for the first time and she did good on that then I let her drive a go-kart but at first she was unsure that even cried but after much prodding she gave in and ride with her other friends Florelaine and Amanda while me, Quentin(too small to drive by himself though he get to ride with me) and other mom friends watch our little girls drive around.
